The City of Atlanta has a Sustainability Ambassadors Program. The Sustainability Ambassadors are Metro Atlanta citizens and youth who have gone through or are currently enrolled in the Mayor's Office of Resilience's 8-week Sustainability Ambassador Program. Classes focus on energy, recycling, green infrastructure (water), urban agriculture and composting and transportation. "The program aims to support participants in their goals to be better stewards of the environment and to become leaders in their communities advocating for systems change and better use of natural resources so that we might more quickly mitigate the climate crisis."
